Hot people tend to flock to beaches… and Survivor takes place at beaches.
That might be one of many reasons why the reality television series has had more than its fair share of gorgeous contestants. Even if some people turn up with a little excess baggage, they usually leave the season knocked back into shape (or eerily skinny).
The current season (Survivor: Cagayan) loudly acknowledged the sheer swoon-worthiness of its contestants by dividing the castaways into the tribes of Brawn, Brains and… (you guessed it) Beauty.
So, here’s taking a look at the 20 of the Beauties of Survivor Past.
He’s a fashion model. That would be enough for us to know.
Obviously, he was a member of the Beauty tribe in Suvivor: Cagayan.
This North Carolina native, with his Southern charm, considers his mom to be his hero. As if he couldn’t get any sweeter.
Another member of Survivor: Cagayan‘s Beauty tribe, Jefra Bland won Miss Teen Kentucky USA in 2009 and made the top 15 in Miss Teen USA.
Another male fashion model from the South, this Survivor: One World contestant calls South Carolina home and loves working out, indoor rock climbing and motocross.
Another beauty pageant winner, this Survivor: Caramoan castaway and Miss Missouri USA 2011 winner has the brains to match her stunning exterior; she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri as a pre-law student.
He was a linebacker on the varsity football team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, but this Survivor: Nicaragua runner-up has talent that extends beyond the jock label; the North Carolina native is also a country music singer.
Yet another pageant winner, this half-Bolivian half-Chinese Survivor: Nicaragua alum hails from Florida and owns a paddleboard company.
This man was really born to be called “Mick-Dreamy”.
The second runner-up of Survivor: Samoa shares many similarities with Grey’s Anatomy resident hottie Dr. Derek Shepherd (played by Patrick Dempsey); they’re both doctors, they look like each other, and Mick’s name fits comfortably into his doppelganger’s famed nickname, “McDreamy”.
The second runner-up of Survivor: One World, this South Carolina native was a state equestrian rider.
He is a “baseball/dating coach”. Maybe there these two fields are somehow related, if we’re talking about getting to first base, second base and all that.
This Florida native was the second runner-up of Survivor: South Pacific.
One-half of one of Survivor‘s most famous couples, Amber Brkich met her future husband, Rob Mariano (winner of Survivor: Redemption Island) on Survivor: All Stars, which she won. In fact, Rob was in the final three with Amber and proposed to her right before the votes were read during the finale.
Meet Mike “Chiseled”, another very aptly named contestant. This Survivor: Redemption Island castaway is a former Marine. Oorah!
This Southern Belle is another Survivor hottie who went all the way and snagged the title of “Sole Survivor”; she is the winner of Survivor: Samoa.
This hunk from Survivor: Cook Islands has a degree in marketing and excelled in basketball in high school.
No one would accuse you of being Shallow for having a thing for Parvati; in Survivor lore, she’s practically a legend.
On Survivor: Micronesia, this University of Georgia graduate famously created the Black Widow Brigade to eliminate all of the remaining male contestants. She went on to win in Micronesia, and is also one of only two winners to make the final three and face the jury twice for the title of Sole Survivor.
The winner of Survivor: Cook Islands is loaded with both brawn and brains; the New York-born California-raised Korean American played varsity water polo and was the valedictorian of his high school, graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University, attended Officer Candidate School for the United States Marine Corps, and earned a law degree from Yale Law School.
Another Beauty tribe alum from Survivor: Cagayan, this Illinois native is a student at Northwestern University and considers her background in psychology to be her strongest asset. It’s definitely not her only strong asset, let’s give her that.
This Survivor: Panama alum has degrees in finance and supply chain management and loves basketball, surfing, fly fishing, reading and travelling.
This New York native Survivor: Caramoan contestant was the editor-in-chief of her high school magazine.
This guy has “jock” carved all over him (and he has the body to show it); the Survivor: Vanuatu alum played basketball, baseball and lacrosse at his Connecticut high school. He also checks in as yet another fashion model to compete on Survivor.
This beauty is yet another of Survivor‘s most legendary winners; her quiet but destructive strategy annihilated male contestants, won her seven out of nine jury votes, as well as the Fan Favourite Award (adding $100,000 to her $1,000,000 Sole Survivor prize)
