Sid from Toy Story is hot!

Your eyes are not deceiving you.

Yes, I’m talking about Toy Story‘s Sid Phillips, the sadistic and creepy toy destroyer whom we hated with a passion as kids. Along with the evil Emperor Zurg, this antagonistic skull-wearing potential-Goth was the primary antagonist of our childhood (until He Who Must Not Be Named and Death Eaters came along).

Believe it or not, Sid Phillips grew up to be a hottie. No, not the rubbish collector who made a cameo in Toy Story 3 (who showed us that we had inherited Sid’s sadism when we were sorta happy - admit it! - that he hadn’t gone that far in life). To be specific, the voice actor who played Sid is the one who’s now gush-worthy.

Meet Erik von Detten. His name already plants images of a dreamy, blonde-haired blue-eyed German aristocrat (he does look like one!) into our minds, doesn’t it?

For those of you who felt something click inside you when you saw him (besides the rushing hormones and blood racing to your cheeks), it’s because you find him familiar.

Perhaps I should have introduced Erik as “Josh Bryant from The Princess Diaries“.

Try to make the connection between Sid Phillips and the “Backstreet Boy clone (Princess Mia) had a crush on for years”. Your inner child and inner tween in that Disney section of your soul are wrecking emotional havoc, aren’t they?

Clearly, Sid/Josh never outgrew the pleasure he found in breaking stuff. Toys, girls’ hearts… he broke ‘em all.
