Jennifer Lawrence has given us another reason to want her as our BFF.
The X-Men and Hunger Games star revealed how massive a fan of the Harry Potter series she was when she was promoting Days of Future Past on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
After Meyers pointed out that both The Hunger Games and X-Men , in which Lawrence plays the franchises’ leading ladies, have extremely large fan bases and fanatical supporters, he asked if Lawrence herself was “rabid about anything, like people are about these things” while growing up.
“Yeah, Harry Potter,” J-Law said, “I read that three times.”
She was also obsessed with ‘N Sync and Backstreet Boys, as expected of a true 90′s kid (Lawrence was born in 1990).
To illustrate, Lawrence admitted that she screamed when she first “met Harry Potter”.
“I screamed at him the first time I met him,” Lawrence told Meyers, before quickly clarifying, “Not, like, yelled at him.”
But she had a clear idea of what she would have said if she actually did yell at the cast of Harry Potter, and it included a “You son of a…!”.
“I never got my (Hogwarts) letter!” Lawrence said, “I waited, and I waited!”
Yes, J-Law was just like us. She, too, waited for her Hogwarts letter when she turned 11, and she was not afraid to admit it.
This is not the first time that Lawrence has admitted to being a Harry Potter fan.
She once revealed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that she was in an intense Harry Potter discussion while flying first class.
“I was with the boys (of The Hunger Games) and I had ordered a glass of wine,” Lawrence recalled.
The stewardess returned when Lawrence was in the midst of a “really intense conversation with the guys.”
“And she dropped off the wine, and I was like, ‘Yes, because the Ministry had taken over Hogwarts at the time, that’s why… (stopping to take the glass from the stewardess) Thank you,” Lawrence said.
J-Law just keeps getting better and better, doesn’t she?
