The teaser trailer for the highly anticipated The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 has been released, and it’s all about symbols.
“She’s the face of the rebellion,” says Plutarch Heavensbee of Katniss Everdeen. “Any association of the Mockingjay symbol is forbidden,” the legendary Donald Sutherland declares as President Snow.
Katniss has become an icon, and boy, we can be sure that the stakes are only going to get higher in the third Hunger Games installment.
We get a shot of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman (who plays Heavensbee), and it is a painful reminder that the Mockingjay films will be the last movies in which we will see the talented actor, who died of drug overdose in February this year.
Opposite Hoffman is new cast member and another talented actor, Julianne Moore, who will play District 13′s leader, rebellion President Alma Coin. She doubts Katniss’ ability, but as history has taught us, you never doubt the J Law!
We also get a glimpse of another eagerly anticipated new face (and her bad-ass haircut); Natalie Dormer, otherwise known to Game of Thrones fans as Margaery Tyrell, plays Cressida, whom you really can’t miss with that half-shaven do.
Throughout the entire trailer, we get teased with shots of Katniss Everdeen from behind (fully complete with her iconic braid, back quiver and all). What better way to end off the 60 second trailer than to finally give us a shot of Jennifer Lawrence’s face, and her intense stare to send us into an excitement frenzy as we wait until the movie is released in November?

If you’ve been wondering how the Fifty Shades of Grey movie will be different from a B grade R-rated adult film, the official trailer will do little to enlighten you.
